I was trying to find a cool Lizzy Mercier Descloux live video to share and inadvertently learned that she died 10 years ago today. Mambo Nassau & Press Color are exceptional albums that I can’t recommend enough. She has 1,261 followers on Spotify, which is <.01% as many followers as Billy Joel, because the world is unjust.
We’ve been working on our new record for a while now and experiencing some “road bumps” to say the least. It’s been a bit painful. We thought recording our album would be an inspiring, exciting process, so we hired a documentary crew to record the entire thing. Unfortunately things were not as inspiring as we had hoped. This footage should give you an idea of why it’s going to be a while until you get a new record from us. This is all very personal and we hesitate to share this with you because of how deep it cuts, but you have been very loyal fans and we hope that you can understand what we are going through.
This is a rock & roll, there are no rules, yes, that’s true, but it’s still real life and people have feelings no matter how hard you rock. Thank you for standing by and bearing with us in this dark time.
